This volume brings together 18 authors from 9 countries representing 15 institutions worldwide, reflecting a diverse and globally engaged scholarly contribution. It includes scholarship examining how global university rankings, internationalization strategies, and evolving policy environments shape institutional priorities and the experiences of international students and scholars. The articles address topics such as the influence of rankings on university messaging and global competitiveness, international curriculum development, value-based pedagogy, student mobility and access to resources, digital learning and belonging, and emerging models of academic community and identity formation. Spanning varied international contexts—including China, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and the United States—these contributions highlight both the opportunities and tensions that arise as institutions pursue global recognition while striving to support inclusive and meaningful educational experiences.
