Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying in schools highlights the need for a new, more holistic and contextual approach. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a multicultural Islamic education model as a preventive strategy for mitigating bullying behavior in schools. Using a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory strategy, quantitative data were obtained through questionnaires administered to 120 students, 30 Islamic education teachers, and 20 educational staff, while qualitative data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study reveal a strong negative correlation (r = -0.612) between understanding multicultural Islamic values and the frequency of bullying. The values of ukhuwah, tasamuh, adl, and social empathy are integrated into learning, non-academic activities, and counseling.
